Rich Van Wert has been employed in the electrical field for more than forty years. Rich is Past-President of the Benjamin Franklin Chapter of IAEI (International Association of Electrical Inspectors). He has served as a Senior Electrical Inspector for Middle Department Inspection Agency (MDIA) and supervised a staff of inspectors that served the five-county southeast Pennsylvania area. He has extensive experience in the design, education of and inspection of solar PV systems. Rich can speak on the contemporary issues facing the electrical industry and weave in a touch of practicality as someone who has "been there, done that" Rich's first love is instructing others on various topics. He is, or has been, as instructor at several educational institutions, professional associations and at the Electrical Education Center which he owns and operates. He is a certified instructor in the states of PA, DE and NJ as well as the city of Philadelphia where he also holds a Philadelphia Electrical Inspector license.
