Reliability Centered Maintenance
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) is a systematic approach to developing a focused, effective, and cost-efficient preventive and predictive maintenance program with the objectives of increasing equipment reliability, availability, and maintainability at the lowest cost of ownership. It is considered the pinnacle of how to run a maintenance organization.

    This month’s speaker will present some of the success stories from his experiences at one of the largest power plants in the southeastern United States. Please register for this meeting and learn some strategies for improving your facility.

PRESENTER:

Jack A. Lazar is the principal engineer in the Reliability Centered Maintenance Group for Florida Power and Light in Port St. Lucie, FL.

Jack has over 40 years of experience in the nuclear power industry and has achieved Institute of Nuclear Power Operations Rating One, the highest achievable. In addition to his 13 years at Florida Power and Light, Jack has worked at nuclear power stations in New Jersey, Vermont, and New York.

Prior to entering the nuclear power industry, Jack served as a senior project engineer for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (Philadelphia) and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (New York).

Jack has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Widener University.
