Discussing AFE's Certifications to Aid Your Career

The November meeting will feature an open discussion on the three certifications offered by AFE: Certified Professional Supervisor, Certified Professional Maintenance Manager, and Certified Plant Engineer. AFE is in the process of upgrading these certifications and re-packaging them as online courses. We will discuss how AFE Certifications enhance professional development.
Presenter
Dean A. Wallace – CPE, CPMM will be the discussion moderator. Dean’s experience as a maintenance director, consultant, and years as an AFE member give him a personal perspective on the importance of certifications.
Prior to his retirement, Dean was the owner of Applied Facility Solutions, Inc., a facilities management consulting company. He provided consulting services on many construction projects in the Philadelphia area, including Wells Fargo Center expansion, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania-Center for Advanced Medicine, Einstein (East Norriton) Hospital, and the Barnes Foundation. He also provided consulting services for a long-term project at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.
He worked many years in Merck and Co’s maintenance department; the last 15 as director of maintenance and repair for a 400- acre site.
Dean has been a long-term member of Chapter 6, having served as president, vice president, secretary, and currently serves as program director. He is also an instructor of the CPE Review Course
