Brian Charles Tagg serves as President of the Association of Facilities Engineers, Silicon Valley Chapter 39, where he leads with a clear focus on technical excellence, professional growth, and community-building within the facilities engineering profession.
With a career rooted in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems, Brian has spent decades operating at the intersection of hands-on engineering and strategic leadership. He is widely recognized for his ability to translate complex building systems into practical, high-performing operations while fostering strong, safety-driven cultures within engineering teams.
As President, Brian’s vision is to strengthen AFE’s role as a trusted professional home for facilities engineers, as well as one that emphasizes continuous learning, mentorship, and meaningful peer connection. He is passionate about expanding access to technical education, supporting emerging professionals, and ensuring the chapter remains a forward-looking forum that reflects both the evolving built environment and the people who steward it.
