Join us for the 1st Annual awards ceremony for The AFE Honors™. This event will be held at the iconic Soundstage at Paisley Park. The AFE Honors™ recognizes the achievements made by facilities management professionals in the field as well as the contributions FMs make to the communities in which they live around the globe. Be a part of the excitement as the 2021 Honorees receive their awards. Plus, we are talkin’ about an event at Paisley Park. This event will be held in-person and streamed live via vFairs.

The Association for Facilities Engineering Foundation (AFE Foundation or AFEF) will host its first annual scholarship luncheon during ABMLC 2021. In addition to fellowshipping among colleagues and peers, we will also host a special silent auction to benefit the AFE Foundation. The AFE Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, seeks to advance research and education in engineering and other scientific fields related to the built environment by funding research, granting scholarships and sponsoring educational events. Proceeds from this luncheon and silent auction will be used to provide scholarships to engineering students seeking careers in facilities management in various locations around the world. Attendees will be addressed by the Chairperson of the AFEF Board of Directors plus the luncheon keynote speaker. The AFE House of Delegates (HoD) is comprised of the AFE Board of Directors together with the sitting chapter presidents from each AFE professional and student chapter, the chairperson of each AFE Professional Interest Community (PIC) and the chairs or other delegates of the other organizational units of the association. The HoD meets each year during the Annual Business Meeting & Leadership Conference (ABMLC) to discuss the state of the association and facilitate dialogue among the leaders of the association on matters of strategic direction. The HoD makes recommendations to the AFE Board of Directors regarding existing policies or the development of new operating policies. Any active AFE Member may participate. Voting on matters before the HoD will be limited to delegates identified by the recognized organizational units of the association. This meeting will be hosted in-person and streamed live via vFairs. The AFE Industry Advisory Council (AIAC) will host its first annual leadership breakfast during ABMLC 2021. Comprised of select industry leaders and the chairs of the nine AFE Regional Advisory Councils (RACs), the AIAC serves as the leading advisory council to the AFE Board of Directors regarding the membership, credentialing and professional development services provided by the association. During the breakfast, attendees will be addressed by the AIAC Chair and a keynote speaker. The AIAC Leadership Breakfast will be held in-person in the Stone Arch Ballroom at the Loews Minneapolis Hotel and streamed live via vFairs.

The AFE Women’s Advisory Council (AWAC) will host its second annual awards luncheon during ABMLC 2021. Join us as we celebrate the contributions women make to the worldwide FM Community and recognize a few outstanding female engineers. This activity will also serve as the official ceremony to formally recognize the 2021 honoree of the AWAC FM Pioneer of the Year Award. Attendees will also be addressed by the AWAC Chair and a keynote speaker. The AWAC Awards Luncheon will be held in-person at the Thompson Reuters Champion Club at Target Field and streamed live via vFairs.

This event acknowledges the work and accomplishments of young facilities management professionals and graduating engineering students. Throughout the 2021 ABMLC Emerging Leaders Reception, the chair of the AFE Young Professionals (AYP) will highlight the work of emerging leaders across the association and around the world. Additionally, attendees will automatically be entered into a drawing to receive scholarships for the AFE credentialing courses and exams.
