June Webinar - Joel Levitt, CRL, CPMM

Topic: Use DE (Defect Elimination) to make your job easier

Level: This class is designed to be enjoyed and understood by all levels

Abstract

Fewer defects means fewer work orders and particularly, fewer reactive work orders. Engaging the team in the battle against defects is bringing the big boys to get at the source of the problems that plague our plants and facilities.

The you can use your computer system directly to reduce defects in addition to managing the overall DE effort. Procedures can be built to not only facilitate the process of DE but also track this important good work.

It is well accepted that most systems are powerful tools for work execution management. Now we can see how to use powerfully to manage, track and report the progress of the DE program.

Topics include

  • Defect Elimination 101 (basics)
  • Sources of Defects
  • CMMS and Precision Maintenance
  • Organizing, executing, reporting DE projects

Major outcome:

Attendees will be able to identify suitable projects, use their CMMS to reduce Defects and report wins
